So I’m not sure if it’s a new trend or maybe it’s taken a while to get to the East Coast but suddenly I’m seeing a lot of different posts and ideas for what to do with an ordinary cake stand. Instagram and Pinterest are loaded with fun and unique ways to decorate with them. I found the perfect stand at HomeGoods and it was on clearance! BONUS! Check out a few ways I used my cake stand and feel free to share your ideas. I would love to see them!

You can use your stand to hold towels and soap in the bathroom
or kitchen. The coral is from Anguilla (my coworker has a
house there) and clam shell from the NH seacoast. I found
the soap at HomeGoods.
Use as a perfume stand. How clever! I wish I could take
credit for this idea but I can surely “borrow” it. :)
How about decorating for different holidays? Here is my Christmas/winter
